My paragraph of what i thought of the fashion show
My role for the night of the fashion show was to be in charge of the sound, to make sure all sound was working properly and that it was feeding through to the mixing deck, the mics and the mics to the computers. The planning coming up to the fashion show, i think we were all organised in sense that we had group sessions about the roles of each other, discussing what jobs are needed, also how everyone is in charge of the different types of pre production work, depending on your job role for example the director and the person in charge of the mixing deck did the shooting script, and the floor manager did the risk assessment and so on, so that it was a group effort and everyone got involved and got it done. The setup for the show was a basic four camera setup, one in the gallery, one tracking and one in the top left of the audience and one still camera in the lighting and sound booth. We decided on this set up because we could get footage from everywhere, tracking camera - models, top left camera - audience/medium shot of models, the one in the gallery, majority on audience but also long shots of the models, and the still to capture everything from long shot. The night of the fashion show went well, we knew where things and time management was good, set things up, and packing away, and producing some good footage. The problems however with sound was that connecting the camera sound to the computer because it was peaking to much so that when we played it back the sound was cracking. So in this case we decided to use a different software so that it was peaking to much, but as we set it up there wasnt enough time to try it out so we wasnt show how it was going to turn out so we just back to the original software, and because it was on the still camera it wasnt much of a worry as the footage captured the 3 main cameras were more interesting. After the show, i felt that we did a good job, we were managed well, i personally thought i did a good job with my role, it was smooth and no hiccups throughout the show was occurred, overall think we produced a well put together footage. Looking back at the two nights, the things that i thought i did well and the group was being managed the director was full of ideas, and listened to other ideas that people may have. Looking back on my personal level i think i achieved what i could which was making sure sound was working, and producing the best of my abilities.
Why we use Multi Camera Setup?
We use multi camera set up to make a show and performance more entertaining and interesting. We use it to show different action shots to the audience. It is also used so that audiences dont miss anything because everything is captured. For example a presenter is talking and some interesting action is happen they can cut to the interesting action but still have the presenter talking so it seems and looks more interesting. With using multi cam you can cut down the timing and change the shots. For example game shows the film it with multi camera but edit it so that they get the best shots in and action in for the audience. But with single cam you can only film the action separately. With live events there are different but multi camera is the best way to film a live show, firstly you get all the action in and you can see more of the event. If you were using single camera for live events there would be loads of cut outs and there would be breaks and it would be so confusing and hard for presenters and viewers.

What is a shooting script?
A shooting script combines the dialogue script with camera movement, scene numbers, screen action and extra information on the presenter or guest. This document shows the ins and outs of the scene in just a few sentences. We use a shooting script, firstly it helps the director by breaking the script down and showing camera movements etc, the director can either change the plans previously or stick with what the writer suggested. For example if we had a shooting script for a game show the presenters and guest have a brief outline of where the cameras are going to focus on them and just general outline of how the show is going to be run so that they are prepared for what going to happen. Shooting script is an important tool for multi camera set up because its essential for the director to be prepared for a show and to be clear on how they show is going to pan out. The camera man are also aware of there role within in the team. With a shooting script it also decreases the percentage of getting camera shots and scenes wrong which is important within the media industry.

The comparison
The two shooting scripts above are two different ways in which you can layout a shooting script depending on how many cameras and equipment that a company need. Comparing the two up above, QI is more pre recorded meaning that if a shot wasn't correct they then can edit that out and do it again until its perfect. However with the football shooting script it is live so making a mistake it will come out on air so the audience can see it. This means that the shooting script will have to be written more organised then the QI shooting script so that the cameraman know and director know exactly how its going to pan out and what they think will happen. With the shooting script the director for the football match also has a set shots and instructions meaning that they have analysed other football matches so they have a basic ideas of what kind of shots are needed. The football match shots have to get loads of action in because its an action pack live show and that what the audience what to see. With the QI is more of a relaxed shooting script they can be more creative with there shots because there isn't a specific way of doing the show. The similarities are that they mean the same output they both want to produce a good multi camera set up show.

These three multi camera set ups all have different layout plans, they all have different numbers of equipment and cameras. Starting with the queens jubilee concert, it was aired live, id say the setup for the cameras were 10 camera set up concentrating mainly on the staging were all the action is happening. The jay z concert is similar but using a 9 camera set up it is also filmed live, but the different between them two are that the amount of audience there, the jubilee the camera work is two shot focus, 1 shot on stage 1 shot on the audience and it repeats itself over and over. However with the jay z concert is more focusing on the action on stage with some random shots of the audience. Mock the week however its completely different, its pre recorded meaning if any shots are anything went wrong they can get it right and film again. The shot types aren't towards the audiences at all only facing the presenters and guests. Reason for this is because it is focusing on there presenters because there the main priority within the show. The set up is different by only using 5 cameras because there are less people to film. May say that it is less exciting then live shows but then again its a different set up, whats being shown is different.
