Analysing Skills
PERSONAL SKILLS
My personal skills related to Media is that i am an organised person, when it comes down to pre production work and scheduling my next step of any work i am organised to when Im going to do that part of the work. Throughout doing a media course I've learnt to be more confident as I've presented many pitches, this has also made me more confident and aware of how i say things and how well i explain a particular thing. Also how a present myself to a group of people, not to be shy and be the best that i can. Timing is also my personal skill, with getting work in and doing it on time and to the best ability, also having enough tome to go back on things that i may of done wrong or not that well. Multi - tasking is a big skill that i have that i have learnt on the media course, to be able to do two things at once and doing it well produces more time for others things that i need to do and doing it to my best ability.
TECHNOLOGICAL SKILLS
The technological skills that i have is that i know the basics of final cut pro, photoshop, flash and after effects. This has helped me gain skills that will help me in the future for any media related course or job. Also using equipment such as cameras, broadcasting equipment, i can produce a video and knowing what the buttons mean and what they are, this has helped me develop knowledge that i wouldn't of known before, so its helped me gain more knowledge in the media industry especially TV and film. Also using a MAC now days industries use a lot, i know the basics and how to use a Mac which would be a big benefit to any media industry and could easily supply me with a media related job.
TRAINING NEEDS
The training needs i will need to develop is to gain more experience and skills to be able to get a job in the media industry. The training needs i will need for TV and Film, easier way to get into the industry is to become a runner and get in that way and work myself to the top and learn from others that have been in the industry for so long. Or an apprenticeship or internship to get into the industry so that i have the knowledge and the experience to work professionally later on. Also on and over work experience will help me gain knowledge and new skills that employes will be looking for. Also you want to work for tv and film, i could do some volunteer work for a few months so that I gain knowledge quicker and experiment with different types of media roles to see if its what i want to do.
DEVELOPMENT PLAN
The way i would improve my media skills are that i would take my skills that i have learnt and use them and show other people what i have gained and what i can do but also take advice from others and gain there skills so that i can develop more as a person and achieve more. Ill also improve my media skills by learning individually at my own paste so that i get everything and understand everything alot more. Also learning from the professionals with the training needs, listen to what they have to say and learn from how they do things. As well, learning from my mistakes knowing that i have done wrong and changing that and making it a lot better. Learning all the new technology, i know the basics but to learn a lot more i will learn and experiment with them and develop skills so that i find it easier to use the technology.
